Its a pretty well thought of idea, I just feel it is UNDERpowered. Energy attachment is a precious source in the pokemon tcg, and even though with this cards power youre gaining +1 card advantage youre losing 1 turn of energy. I don't feel its enough for what is needed to get this thing into play. The HGSS Ninetales requires an energy discard from hand and gives you one more card, which makes it considerably better. As for the attack, I feel 3 energy discard is a little much. Otherwise good job. 3/5

About that Nintails though: you can only use that power ONCE per turn (per Nintails you have in play--which is usually about 2-per-deck, and you won't have more than 2 out at once anyway). Shadow Blaze can do his thing AS OFTEN as you like during your turn. So, you can't draw 3 cards per FIR energy discarded, but with the ability to draw as many pairs of cards as you have FIR enegy to discard, you can draw much more this way than you can with HGSS 9tales. ^_~

Yes I did realize that. But Im still in favor of Ninetales as it would take you two shadow spark (2 energy attachments) to get only 1 more card than 1 Ninetales could get you. It's still good though, as I see there are many insistences in pokemon (and other card games), in which there are cards that work similar but weaker to another version.
Oh, yeah: As for only doing 150 for discarding 3 FIR energy, I'm not sure what to tell you, except that with the added effect of ignoring Resistance (ShadBlaze is DRK, not FIR--and in the Shadow set at least, there's some significant resistance to that card type), the cost for ShadBlaze's attack was fair, in the end. These Shadow Pokemon do about 20 base damage per energy in their energy cost, with +10 base damage for each generic, non-colorless energy card type in their attack's cost. And, roughly, for every effect you add, you reduce that attack's base damage by 10. So, for ShadBlaze's Dark Firestorm, I do 100 damage for the five energies, +10 each for using DRK and FIR together, -10 for the no-resistance effect. That leaves me doin' 110 damage, resistance ignored. I can increase this, roughly, by +20 for each energy card I choose to make the attack arbitrarily discard in order for the attack to work. So, that's +60 (total) for discarding 3 FIR energy, which brings base damage up to 170. However, I also have to consider how Powerful ShadBlaze already is, especially with his high-capacity card drawing ability (that, and I had to consider his strength as a card, after all his other stats were considered). So, I took 20 base damage off Dark Firestorm, which gives his attack enough power to 1-shot-KO at least another ShadBlaze. And there ya have it. ^_~

This is true. Even though ShadBlaze is a Shadow Pokemon, I still have to balance him within the context of other Shadow Pokemon (which are more powerful than normal Pkmn cards, but which still have to follow rules).

Hey Darcy I made that Raichu a while ago it didnt post for 2 days so I thought it was a gonner, thus I did a remake of it with different moves along with the absol and the dialga that I showed you. Those cards have not shown up for some reason.
